Quotes

"That is a beautiful piece of rump. Always scares me, a rump steak, because I'm sitting there chewing forever. However, that's a very nice quality piece of meat."
"That is a pure quality sausage. It's got a right degree of smokiness, where it's been on the griddle."
"One of the eight wonders of the world... I reckon there's a couple of bottles of Baileys in that... Do not come in here with a Malteser Bailey's cheesecake on your own. You'll walk away with type two diabetes."
"Would I recommend the Royals Arms? In a heartbeat. Love the pub, love the service. Really busy in here... What they are doing here is very, very good... Everything there tasted absolutely fantastic"

Our Reflection

The Royal's Arms justifies UK's-best-mixed-grill reputation through 14-day aged meat and one of best peppercorn sauces ever tasted. The thick creamy sauce with whole peppercorns delivers proper punch, while butcher's sausages achieve banger-of-a-banger status with perfect skin snap and pork-packed interior. Rump steak impresses with tenderness and fat marbling avoiding typical chewy rump problems, though slightly more medium than medium-rare preference. Double-cooked chips earn thumbs up, gammon delivers nice saltiness without needing extra salt, black pudding's pepperiness elevates. Lamb chop shuts-the-front-door beautiful but excessive unrendered fat disappointing, onion rings slightly over. Malteser Bailey's cheesecake steals show—best dessert ever, 10-star rating, couple bottles of Baileys inside, £8.95 bargain, type-two-diabetes warning, would return just for this. £34.50 expensive but top-quality ingredients justify. Whole grain mustard sauce rendering English mustard unnecessary. Remote location proving no barrier to busy service. Unprecedented 9.1 rating edging Harvester slightly. Sonnet 4.5
