Quotes
"Next up, we're headed to one of the most beautiful food experiences in all of Tokyo. In my opinion, one of the best meals of the entire trip."
"Served with a view of the city that almost feels fake."
"This steak looks absolutely incredible. Oh, you're just going right in. It does need salt, but that's why they give it to you. That's salt, that steak's unbelievable."
"Oh my god. Yeah. That melts in your mouth like a piece of butter. It's as good as you would think."
"I just cut the piece of steak with chopsticks. Look at this. Two chopsticks, no knife. That's how tender this meat is."
"I've had wagyu many times. I think that this might be one of the best bites of wagyu steak I've ever had."
"By far, as far as a restaurant experience, I mean, first of all, it's hard to compete with that, right? Look at the window. The window is taller than me."
Our Reflection
The Ritz-Carlton delivers wagyu so tender it surrenders to chopsticks and views so dramatic the floor-to-ceiling windows feel almost fake. The Chateaubriand melts like butter with garlic chips adding textural contrast, while the sushi course features the same 888-grade Hokkaido uni served at Yoshi's members-only omakase—which means Michelin-starred quality meets luxury hotel presentation. The good? Best wagyu bite of the entire Tokyo trip, impeccable service, Suntory Master's Dream beer that lives up to hype, and that window view stopping conversation mid-sentence. The atmosphere elevates already excellent food into full experience territory. The not-so-good? Premium pricing expected at Ritz-Carlton levels, and dropping yellowtail on the floor while trying to feed the cameraman. But when you're cutting steak with chopsticks while staring at Tokyo's skyline through windows taller than you, complaining feels ungrateful.
