Known for its homestyle fried chicken, the restaurant has a loyal following and a reputation for reasonable prices. Its legacy is rooted in classic American comfort food and a commitment to quality over expansion.

What They Ate
Quotes
"That is hot. Like they just fried this... If I were to compare this to a KFC... They are fucking them. They're stomping. The salt level, absolutely fucking perfect... The flavor is delicious. The best part is the chicken is not lost. It works together in harmony. This is a beautiful piece of chicken."
"(Fritters) That's actually insane... Unbelievably crispy on the outside. Super, super soft and fluffy on the inside and it just like melts"
Our Reflection
JJim Dandy KFC-stomping homestyle perfection at $15. Fried chicken beautiful—fucking them, absolutely perfect salt (to limit), garlic/cayenne with little heat, chicken not lost (works in harmony), mom's fried chicken reminder. Fritters insane—unbelievably crispy outside, super soft fluffy melting inside, fried chicken of donuts, better than premier LA coffee shop donuts. High school cafeteria fries acceptable. Eight-minute wait reasonable. Greasy as expected but delicious flavor. Sad only one location remaining. Charging reasonable prices possibly causing suffering (not greedy enough). Bank-style security glass justified—that fucking good. Should kill across America if maintaining quality. Getting diabetes today (worth it).
